History of the Double Hung Window If you notice the old stand alone farm house in the country, you will see tall trees around the house to provide shade. This has a cooling effect for the house and the surrounding area. These older homes also had a lot of windows that were tall and narrow. The tall windows would project light deep inside the house. This was particularly helpful before electricity when lighting was poor. In order to get this cool air from outside of the house to inside the hot house is where the Double Hung Window comes in. By lowering the top sash this allows the rising hot air to flow out and by raising the lower sash a little, allowed cool air from outside to flow in creating a convection effect. That is the old fashion air conditioning. Double Hung Window Now we know why the Double Hung Window was created back in the day!

The Window Man Distinctive

Each spring, as other companies begin running their new sales, I am reminded of what sets Window Man apart from the rest of the industry. As I watch the "Three For Two", "Buy One Get One", "$250 Off", and numerous other similar deals roll out we really do stand out from the crowd. At Window Man Inc., you won't see us offering all the "deals" you hear about elsewhere.  Instead, you will find honest, upfront, competitive pricing for the very best windows installed by master installers!  We don't mark up our products and services in order to mark them down during special sales.  We don't spend hours in homes negotiating with our customers in an attempt to secure the most money possible. As a family owned and operated business, our reputation is very important to us and we choose to do things differently.  We work hard to select the very best American made windows for our customers and always set our prices responsibly.  Our customer
